Too many travel blogs I’ve read out there deal mostly with the not-so-exciting trivia of everyday travel – logistics, hotel room standards and the art of tipping a taxi driver. There are those out there who do it differently, and I hope we can become one of those.
I’d like to write a bit about the art, history, culture and politics of the places we travel through. I’d like to write a bit about the food, the music and the everyday life of the people we encounter, and I will try to not complain about the food not being like it is at home. I will write about hiking, about the challenges of traveling as a couple for a year, and I will write about my writing.
If this at all sounds interesting, stay tuned. We’ll be in Bangkok in about 30 hours, and I’m excited.
