36 hours after leaving our hotel in Hanoi, we find ourselves in northern Sweden. And believe me, when I say northern, I mean NORTHERN Sweden.
We’re an hour from the arctic circle. Technically the sun is below the horizon for an hour at night, but the sky never darkens. Saunas are a daily occurance and we’re sleeping in a fire heated cabin (pictured above is the part of the cabin we are sleeping in) on the Baltic Sea.
This is where Martin grew up. It’s a magical place; one that we will share with you as I explore the curious and wonderful daily life of rural Norrbotten (northern Sweden) – that is, once the jetlag wears off.
