I scored this beautiful bike when I was in the Swedish Army service in 1991 or so. The Swedes used to go to war on these hogs, rolling out whole regiments of menacing bicycle infantry.
Note the stylish front wheel – it’s the NEW model (circa 1942), the one without the nine-pound drum brake in the center of the wheel. The calorie burn from riding this thing is equivalent to running with weights strapped around your legs.
Oh and the reason she’s keeping her hand in front of her mouth is to keep the mosquitoes from flying in.
