My in-laws split time between two homes, depending on the season. One home is in the town of Sangis; population: 622. Their second home is a cabin (pictured above) that is a 10 minute drive from town and sits just off the Baltic Sea.
My father-in-law, Rolf, built their Sangis home (pictured below) in the 70’s – an era I refer to as their Power Phase. Martin wasn’t old enough to start making his own choice in clothing (click here for an example) and the descriptions and pictures I’ve seen of northern Sweden in the 70’s are just damn cool.
I’ll do some more digging tonight & see if I can find a photo of the Power Phase. Please note that the Power Phase is followed by the 1980s, one of Martin’s most disastrous fashion decades. If I’m really nice to him maybe he’ll let me post a few of those as well.
