One of the great joys of the summers of my youth was to take the boat out to the islands and see what had washed ashore. Sometimes you would find beer cans and other packaging from the other side of the iron curtain, sometimes you could find parts of shot down air defense targets. Every time, we’d come home with one treasure or another.
Today, as we leisurely strolled along the southern end of Halsö, we ran into this beastly thing. Does anyone have an idea what it could be? A World War I mine? Part of a Russian rocket? Let us know!
