I’ve been debating a change in hairstyle for a while. We’re starting our third year of marriage, after all. I’ve gotta keep things fresh.
Martin is no stranger to my hairstyle changes. It didn’t take long for him to learn that asking me what I was planning for the hairdresser would only lead to worry. It was best to just wait and see. To his credit, he’s liked everything I’ve done. He admits to falling in love with me when I had pink hair.
This, of course, was all hairdressing done by professionals. We don’t have that luxury on the road. It’s either my hand or his that is doing the cutting. It’s for this reason that I’m letting my hair grow. A simple straight cut we can manage (I handle the front, Martin copies the line in the back). Layering or stylizing is pretty much out of the question.
My bangs are another story, though. I can play with those, since they’re in the front of my head. It was about a year ago that I had short choppy bangs cut (pictured above, with my pretty friend Julie). I loved them. I’ve been considering cutting them again. Keep in mind that the color wouldn’t be two-toned like it is in the picture below. What do you think? Vote to your right – to chop or not to chop.
UPDATE: The votes are in, 4-0 for…this.
