It’s Martin’s birthday today – his 36th – and we plan to eat and drink our way through it. The pictured cake was breakfast, lunch will be at a deli that sells imported meat and cheese and din din will be Italian food, complete with wine. Wine!
To two people who have sustained themselves on rice products for months, this will be a slice of birthday heaven.
