Behold for a moment this mundane street scene. You may wonder what it is doing on our blog, really. A street and a tree, what’s the big deal?
The big deal is that when you walk underneath it, you are sprayed with small droplets of something liquid. We thought at first that it must be raindrops from the night before, or something equally harmless.
Nay. The black lumps you see up there aren’t raindrops, they’re enormous fruit bats. We’re telling ourselves that the droplets that landed on us were fruit juice. Needless to say, we’ll never walk underneath those trees again.
