Martin’s already discussed the ins and outs of train travel in Myanmar. In sum, train rides are long and bumpy. It took a review of the photos we took while on the train to realized just how stinkin’ long we were on there – we took seventy-five pictures in total!
Anyway, I’ve put together a few to show you what the countryside looks like up here – it’s surprisingly arid for most of the trip. We started to see trees only just outside Myitkyina – and sadly those trees are probably counting their days before the logging industry sweeps through. (but that’s a whole other issue – bad Myanmar loggers, bad!).
On a happier note, enjoy the gallery of photos we took from the train.
