This is why travelers should not drink the local’s “drinking water” in India.
We ran across this truck after walking along the Brahmaputra river in Guwahati. The water you see being dumped into the tank is pumped directly from – you guessed it – the river. The same river that I was happy to walk along, but didn’t dare go into for fear of what skin diseases lurked there. One can only imagine what it would do if I tried to ingest this water: another shart-tastic good time, I’m sure.
