Word from San Diego is that my Mother in law made it back to the States, safe and sound. Considering that she was on one of only two aircraft that flew that route during the week of the volcanic cloud, she was insanely lucky to make it.
So here’s to hoping that the troublesome eruptions are over, and that all travelers can go back to looking at the news without having to worry that the situation has changed in the last four hours. Cheers!
